Skipton Rotary Dragon Boat Race 2019

This year we entered not one but two boats into the Skipton Rotary Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 19th May.

We had a great day out cheering on both of our teams, HMS BNI Ilkley and The Skipton Health & Fitness Avenger. We were off to a great start when both teams won their first race! Unfortunately the competition was tough and although HMS BNI Ilkley peaked at 2nd on the results board, neither team made it to the final race.

The final race was between the Sutcliffe Slayers, Coniston Swans and The French Connection. It was an amazing final race to finish the day with a dramatic finish where Sutcliffe Slayers just pipped the Coniston Swans to the post. A huge Thank you to both teams who raised money for The Principle Trust aswell.

Overall we raised a huge £2800!! Thank you so much to everyone who took part, supported and sponsored our teams.
