Based in Skipton, North Yorkshire The Principle Trust Children’s Charity’s aim is to help improve the quality of life of children from across Yorkshire who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, and disabled through the provision of free holidays.

Here at The Principle Trust we strive to make a positive and meaningful difference to children who could have life limiting conditions, complex and difficult disabilities, live in poverty, or have experienced trauma or abuse. The Principle Trust’s respite breaks give the opportunity for children just to be children and to simply enjoy their time away with their family. 

Unlike so many other charities our 100% donations policy ensures every penny raised from events and marketing directly benefits children and their families.

As a charity supporting underprivileged children The Principle Trust works closely with local authorities, children’s social services, children’s centres, schools, and other charities to ensure that children and their families or carers, who are most in need, benefit from the holidays we have to offer. For families living with a serious childhood illness, or disabilities time together making memories that last is everything. 

Currently, we have six holiday homes; four of which are situated at Marton Mere Haven Holiday Village, in Blackpool. Our holiday homes in Blackpool are ideal for families seeking both a wide range of entertainment, and some relaxation time together as a family. 

Our two holiday lodges can be found on the banks of Lake Windermere at White Cross Bay, Parkdean Resorts Holiday Park. These lodges have been specially adapted to meet the needs of children who are terminally ill, who have Autism, disabilities or other additional needs, set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings.
