Where we support
The Principle Trust Children’s Charity supports children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, or disabled right the way across the whole of Yorkshire.
The charity’s aim is to help improve the quality of life of children who may be suffering from difficulties such as long-term, life threatening or limiting illnesses, disabilities, mental health issues, or overcrowded inadequate housing through the provision of free holidays.
Since the charity was founded in 2011, we have provided free holidays to over 3,730 underprivileged and disadvantaged children, and over 370 holidays to disabled children across our five holiday homes.
We hope to improve the health and well-being of each child and family compared to how they felt before their break with The Principle Trust. Each situation before their break is different but the impact it has is always positive, particularly having a new opportunity to spend quality time with each other and take away the strain and stress of everyday life.
Our charity’s aim is to make a positive and meaningful difference to children who could have life limiting conditions, or complex and difficult disabilities, or live in poverty, or have experienced trauma or abuse. The Principle Trust’s respite breaks help to improve the quality of life of the children we support.
Every single penny we raise at The Principe Trust Children’s charity goes towards giving a child a holiday.
