We are The Principle Trust Children’s Charity. We work hard to fulfil the aims and objectives of the Trust, which are to improve the quality of life for children and their families whom are underprivileged, disadvantaged or disabled. Whether this is caused by social, physical, mental, emotional circumstances , or as a result of extreme poverty. The Trust provides through their six holiday homes, free holidays or respite breaks for the children and families.

I’m Kerry, the Community Engagement and Marketing Manager here at the children’s charity in Skipton. I organise community fundraising events and look after our many patrons, supporters and volunteers. My aim is to heighten the awareness of our work and inspire people to give and get involved.
I’m passionate about our mission. A simple break from the stresses of daily life can help children and their families to create precious memories that last, strengthen bonds, improve their mental health and wellbeing, making families more resilient.
As a family, we have experienced what it’s like to have a child who is seriously ill, going through intense treatments and surgery. So I understand the worry and stresses families go through in supporting their child through difficult times such as this and the impact it has on their development and learning. This taught me to really live life to the full! I’m so happy to be working for this amazing children’s children and helping other families in need.
There are so many ways you can get involved and help us support underprivileged, disadvantaged and disabled children in Yorkshire.
Whether you have some spare time and choose to volunteer for us, take on a fundraising challenge for us or give a one-off donation or become a Patron making a regular donation to us; we really appreciate and value all your help and support.

Hi, my name is Georgina Simpson, I am delighted to have recently joined the Team as an Event Manager. It will be my responsibility to plan develop and organise memorable events across Yorkshire for all our avid supporters to enjoy, so please come and join in the fun whilst making memories that last for Children and families across the county.
I have a bit of a different backstory…I was a very good Yorkshire girl golfer and subsequently gained a BA Honours Degree in Advertising at San Jose State University, California, whilst completing a golf scholarship. I then turned professional in 2001 and my main career came to an end in 2016 when I retired injured from Professional Golf, I played on the Ladies European Tour for 15 years and held my card on the LPGA in America in 2003.
I am very grateful and feel very privileged to have been able to travel the world and follow my childhood dreams, something many children never get the opportunity to do. Therefore, I am now delighted to be working for the Principle Trust Charity because giving back and making a difference is something that is very important to me.
For the last 8 years I have worked in the golf industry, running the NCG Top 100s Tour across the UK for Sports Publications Ltd. It is therefore lovely that some of the events I will be working on during the year will be golf days, along with our Grand Charity Ball and a list of exciting events I am currently working on, yet to be announced.
I very much look forward to meeting and looking after you and your friends at one of our memorable events.
