Last year, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity took part in the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival. This year, we were lucky enough to get stuck in again – this time with some creative flare!
Last weekend, we got stuck into some arts and crafts as we had the pleasure of hosting the festivals children’s activity tent. Complete with pom-pom making, paper mosaics, colouring and a ‘make your own Minion’ – there was tons to do.
Alongside the craft tent, we brought along our trusty tombola with some fabulous prizes. The sheer amount of donated prizes we received meant this was the biggest tombola we have ever hosted; we can’t thank everyone enough for the wonderful generosity in making the stall so bright and fun!
With our lovely volunteers, the team got stuck in at inspiring some creativity – and boy was there a lot of it! Carl the minion by our side, everyone got stuck into their creative side to create lots of arts and crafts – all together, we raised over £1200!
The money collected from our tents at the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival will go towards families throughout the Yorkshire region. We aim to improve quality of life for children who are experiencing long-term, life-threatening, or limiting illnesses, disabilities and special needs, mental health issues or those living in poverty. The amount raised so far means we can send 3 families on a free holiday!
We do this be providing weeklong holidays to these children alongside family or careers to our holiday homes based in Blackpool and the Lake District. The holiday is a chance for children to make memories that last.
