Set for an evening of high-octane racing and glamour at Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley, our 150 amazing guests raised an incredible £15,000!
This fantastic total will support twenty-five of Yorkshire’s most vulnerable families each with a free week-long respite break to one of our holiday homes. Those families will also benefit from our new initiative ‘food for families’, aiming to relieve food poverty; each will receive a food hamper worth £100 delivered by Morrisons, containing all the essentials to feed a family of six people for a week.
Our celebrated annual ball is our biggest fundraiser in The Principle Trust calendar, which helps raise vital funds so that we can continue providing free respite holidays to children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or who have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.
A HUGE thank you to all of those who attended and supported our annual charity ball and to everyone who kindly donated some fantastic prizes for our auction and raffle.
Among the items auctioned on the night was a cap signed by international Formula One champions Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez which was generously donated by the Red Bull Racing team.
Charity Founder and Chairman Mike Davies MBE commented,
“Our annual ball is the highlight of our fundraising calendar and,despite the current economic challenges, it continues to be generously supported. The Trust’s 100% donation policy means that every penny raised will fund respite holidays for dozens of needy children and their families.”
