We’re overjoyed to announce a major achievement: 5000 Unforgettable Memories created by The Principle Trust Children’s Charity!

For over a decade, we’ve been providing free respite breaks to children from Yorkshire facing various challenges. From disabilities to poverty, trauma, or abuse, we’re dedicated to offering a safe haven for those who need it most.

Thanks to our incredible supporters, patrons and network, we’ve reached this significant milestone. Inspired by our Founder’s Mike Davies MBE, own journey, we’ve raised over £1.6m and acquired six holiday homes, offering much-needed escapes in Blackpool and by Lake Windermere.

This week, as our 5000th child steps into one of our newly refurbished, fully accessible Lake District lodges, we’re reminded of the power of creating precious memories. It’s a chance for families to escape their daily struggles and cherish moments together

Despite challenges, like the recent economic climate, we’re committed to expanding our services. Initiatives like ‘Food for Families’ aim to tackle food poverty, ensuring families have essentials during their breaks.

Family holidays are more than just time away; they’re opportunities for children to explore, learn, and create unforgettable memories. Our respite holidays in the Lake District offer families a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and endless opportunities for adventure.
