Two of our incredible supporters, Andy Bissett from Shadowfax Funding and Carl Green, will be embarking on a truly epic adventure—competing in the Two Ball Banger Romanian Rally. This trans-European rally is not for the faint-hearted, and Andy and Carl have chosen to take on this challenge in none other than a Ford Fiesta!
The rally, which starts on Thursday, 28th August in St Quentin, France, will see them navigate through six countries—France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania—before reaching their final destination on Monday, 2nd September. Along the way, they’ll face a series of Top Gear-style challenges, all while hoping their trusty Ford Fiesta holds up for the entire journey.
With no mechanical knowledge, this adventure is sure to be a wild ride! Their theme for this year is “Ski-esta,” so keep an eye out for some fun photos along the way. You can follow their journey on Facebook, where they’ll be sharing updates, challenges, and plenty of laughs.
We are incredibly grateful that Andy and Carl have chosen to support The Principle Trust Children’s Charity as one of the beneficiaries of their rally. Their efforts will help us continue our mission of providing free week-long respite holidays to children across Yorkshire who are facing significant challenges, whether due to poverty, disability, trauma, or illness. Thanks to our 100% donations policy, every penny they raise will go directly to helping these children and their families create lasting, happy memories.
Andy and Carl are also raising funds for St Leonards Hospice, a charity close to their hearts. St Leonards Hospice provided invaluable care and support to Carl’s mum, Irene, during her battle with lung cancer. Their compassionate care allowed Irene to spend her final days at home, surrounded by her family, even during the challenges of the COVID-19 lockdown. This cause is deeply personal to Carl and Andy, and we’re honored to support them in this effort.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Andy and Carl for taking on this challenge in support of such worthy causes. We wish them the best of luck on their journey and encourage everyone to consider supporting their fundraising efforts. Every donation, big or small, will make a huge difference.
