At The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, we believe every family deserves the chance to pause, reconnect, and create memories that last a lifetime. For Sam and her daughters, their recent respite break provided exactly that.
With a wide age range between her daughters, everyday life brings different challenges and needs. This holiday gave them a chance to simply be together, without the pressures of daily routines.
“I feel like as a family we have had to adapt to new surroundings very quickly. My older children have enjoyed the bit of freedom they’ve had, being able to go to the park alone. It has been nice to spend time as a family talking and playing games together.”
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, families like Sam’s can enjoy breaks with all the essentials provided. For Sam, this meant she could spend more on special activities and treats for her daughters:
“The fact we had the caravan and food shop gifted meant I had more money to spend on activities for the children and get them extra treats like the different food centres around the park.”
She shared how much her daughters loved the high ropes course, with laughter ringing out as one got stuck while the other couldn’t finish because she was laughing so much! The inflatables in the pool were another favourite, alongside quieter moments playing jigsaw puzzles, hide and seek, and games together.
“We’ve made so many memories. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.”
