We are absolutely delighted to welcome Language is Everything as the newest Patron of The Principle Trust Children’s Charity.
As a Hull-based organisation with national reach and a well-earned reputation for excellence, Language is Everything has pledged their generous support to help us continue delivering vital respite breaks to children across Yorkshire. These are children living with profound challenges – poverty, disability, life-limiting conditions, mental health struggles, trauma or abuse. Through their backing, the team at Language is Everything is making it possible for more families to enjoy a much-needed break, reconnect and create cherished memories.
From humble beginnings in the early nineties, Language is Everything has grown into one of the UK’s leading providers of translation and interpreting services, supporting organisations from the NHS to housing associations and international businesses. The firm’s HQ on Hull Marina is home to 30 talented staff and over 1,500 freelance linguists offering services in over 200 languages.
We were particularly moved by the words of CEO Carolyn Johnson, MBE, who said:
“We’re delighted to be joining The Principle Trust as patrons, and we look forward to supporting their work helping disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children to escape their everyday troubles and create valuable, happy memories.”
Carolyn and her team truly embody the values we hold dear – empathy, integrity and the belief that every child deserves joy.

With the help of our patrons, The Principle Trust has now supported over 5,700 children since our launch in 2011. Our holiday homes in Blackpool, the Lake District, and most recently Primrose Valley near Filey, are places of healing, peace and laughter – something every child deserves, no matter their circumstances.
