We’re proud to share an important milestone for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity – one that reflects our core values of integrity, transparency, and public trust.
As of 1st November, The Principle Trust has officially adopted the newly updated Code of Fundraising Practice, launched by the Fundraising Regulator. We’re honoured to be among the first 1,600 charities in the UK to implement these changes.
This updated code forms part of a wider national commitment to improving how fundraising is conducted across the sector, ensuring supporters feel protected, respected, and fully informed. Alongside it, the Fundraising Regulator has introduced a new public directory that allows donors to see exactly which charities meet best practice standards.
Why This Matters
Fundraising is the lifeline of our charity – it’s how we provide free respite breaks for children and families across Yorkshire facing:
✔ mental health challenges
✔ trauma or abuse
✔ disability or serious illness
✔ poverty or hardship
With demand for support continuing to grow, we know how important it is that supporters feel confident in how their generosity is used. Becoming an early adopter of the updated code is another step in showing we take that trust seriously.
Over the coming weeks, you’ll start to see the Fundraising Regulator’s refreshed logo across our digital and printed materials, reinforcing our pledge to safe, ethical and responsible fundraising.
