Skipton Properties, our new Patron!

Skipton Properties is one of the leading independent house builders in the county, and  they are set to become one of our special corporate patrons – dedicated in helping families who need support the most.

By becoming a patron, Skipton Properties will be supporting The Principle Trust Children’s Charity in offering our free, weeklong holidays in our goal to help improve the quality of life of children throughout Yorkshire. Our services reach children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or those who have experienced poverty, trauma, or abuse. Our children’s charity was founded by Ilkley businessman Mike Davies, MBE, in 2011. Since then, the Trust has purchased six holiday homes and provided respite breaks for over 4000 children across Yorkshire!

Founded in 1986, Skipton Properties operates throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire, employing approximately 65 staff. The construction company has some big plans in the works, including the new development of 77 new build homes located in Silsden, 37 brand new and converted homes in Haworth, spacious 4- and 5- bedroom homes in Addingham and 99 new homes in Skipton.

Mike Davies said,

‘We are delighted that Skipton Properties has joined The Trust as a patron; they are a family firm with traditional values which align closely with our own ethos of supporting families. This partnership will form a significant part of our plans to expand services across the region.’

Our commitment to the Trust will help them to provide free respite holidays to dozens more families every year.’

We can’t thank Skipton Properties enough for their support and patronship to our Skipton based children’s charity. Their family business has been fantastic to work with. Their generous donation each month will help support two families with a free week-long holiday.
