TaxAssist Accountants, a leading Hull-based accountancy practice with additional offices in Beverley, has announced its patronage of The Principle Trust Children’s Charity. This partnership marks a significant step in supporting some of the region’s most disadvantaged families by helping to provide much-needed respite breaks for children who are underprivileged, disabled, or have experienced hardship due to poverty, trauma, or abuse.
A Commitment to Community Support
With over a dozen offices in Yorkshire and more than 400 locations nationwide, TaxAssist Accountants is one of the UK’s leading accountancy firms. Serving over 500 corporate and individual clients from its Hull office on Spring Bank West and an additional 300 clients at its Beverley branch on Grovehill Road, the firm is known for its dedicated service and strong community focus.
Tony Hall, who owns and manages both branches, brings over 25 years of experience in the accountancy industry, with a career that spans across Leeds, London, and Bermuda. Making a Lasting Impact for Yorkshire’s Families
Since its founding in 2011 by Ilkley businessman Mike Davies, MBE, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity has raised over £1.7 million and provided respite breaks for more than 5,000 children. The charity owns six holiday homes—two located at White Cross Bay in the Lake District and four at Marton Mere Holiday Park near Blackpool—where families can enjoy a week-long break from their daily challenges.

Expanding Charitable Efforts in 2024
The Principle Trust continues to grow and evolve, with plans to support even more families in the coming year. In 2023, the charity launched the ‘Food for Families’ initiative, which provides a week’s supply of essential groceries to all families staying at one of their holiday homes in Marton Mere. This effort is part of the charity’s commitment to addressing food poverty alongside offering respite breaks.
By 2024, The Principle Trust aims to provide respite holidays to up to 232 families, giving them the opportunity to create lifelong memories, enjoy a sense of normalcy, and reconnect away from the struggles they face in their everyday lives.
