The Principle Trust Children’s Charity is delighted to welcome Fraser Gowland, Director of FOAMMS, to its board of trustees. As the charity continues to expand its services across Yorkshire, Fraser’s appointment marks a significant step forward in its mission to support the region’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
Founded in 2011, The Principle Trust provides free, week-long respite breaks to children who are underprivileged, disabled, or living with life-limiting conditions. Many of the families supported by the charity are facing unimaginable challenges—poverty, trauma, abuse, or the relentless pressure of caring for children with complex needs.
Fraser, who runs Settle-based bookkeeping and accountancy firm FOAMMS, has been a longstanding supporter of the Trust. Over the years, he has generously contributed his time and expertise, offering vital financial guidance and management reporting to help the charity maintain transparency and sustainability.
Now, as a newly appointed trustee, Fraser will play a more hands-on role in helping the charity navigate its next chapter—particularly as it scales up in response to Yorkshire’s growing child poverty crisis. With 31% of children in the region now living in poverty, The Principle Trust’s support has never been more vital.
