We are delighted to announce that Liam Burton, founder of Leeds-based roofing company Roof Spec, has officially joined The Principle Trust Children’s Charity as a Patron.
Liam brings with him not only more than 20 years of business experience but also a genuine passion for supporting children and families facing challenging circumstances. Through his new role, he will help raise awareness of the charity’s work and support fundraising efforts that enable vulnerable children across Yorkshire to enjoy much-needed respite breaks.
Based in Morley, Liam founded Roof Spec, a successful roofing company serving communities across Leeds. More recently, he has expanded his business portfolio with the launch of Resix, a specialist industrial roofing company delivering innovative asbestos encapsulation solutions.
While Liam’s business achievements are impressive, it is his commitment to giving back that makes him such a valuable addition to The Principle Trust family.
“I am a charitable person and try to do something in Leeds each year to help those in need,” Liam explained. “I’ve previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge and we usually spend Christmas Day visiting the homeless. What really made me fall in love with the charity was speaking to Kerry, understanding the mission, knowing the founder and why they set up the charity.
“My daughter Wynter would have been in a similar situation if we hadn’t adopted her, so we are passionate about raising as much as possible for such a great cause.”
As a proud father to his adopted daughter, Wynter, Liam understands the life-changing impact that support can have on a child’s future. His personal experiences have strengthened his determination to help children who face adversity and ensure more families can benefit from the restorative breaks provided by the charity.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Liam is already preparing for his next fundraising adventure. Later this year, he will be taking on the 73-mile Hadrian’s Wall walk, completing the route over three days to raise vital funds for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity.
