At The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, we believe every child deserves the chance to make happy memories with the people they love most.
For the past 15 years, we’ve been providing free respite holidays to children across Yorkshire who are facing adversity, including poverty, trauma, abuse, serious illness, disabilities and mental health challenges. These breaks offer families a chance to step away from daily pressures, reconnect, recharge and create memories that last a lifetime.
This year, as we celebrate our 15th anniversary, we have an exciting opportunity to make an even bigger impact through Big Give’s Small Charity Week campaign.
Double the Difference
From 12pm on Monday 22nd June until 5pm on Monday 29th June 2026, every donation made to The Principle Trust through Big Give will be doubled while match funds last.
That means:
- £25 becomes £50
- £50 becomes £100
- £100 becomes £200
Thanks to generous funding from Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, supported by Postcode Lottery players, every pound donated during the campaign week will go twice as far.
Why This Matters
Small charities like The Principle Trust are at the heart of their communities. We understand the families we support because we work alongside them every day.
Real change happens closest to the community. Small charities create belonging where it’s fragile, opportunity where it’s scarce, and hope when it’s needed most.
That’s why the theme of this year’s campaign couldn’t be more fitting:

Our Goal: £15,000 for 15 Years
To mark our 15th anniversary, we’re aiming to raise £15,000 during Small Charity Week.
If we reach our target, we’ll be able to provide 25 families with a free week-long respite holiday, giving children and parents the opportunity to rest, reconnect and make precious memories together.
For many families we support, a holiday is simply not financially possible. Your donation can change that.
