At The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, we’re incredibly fortunate to be supported by passionate local businesses that not only believe in our mission but actively bring their communities together to make a difference.
One of those people is Rachelle Atkin, Founder of The Yorkshire Marketing Company, who has raised an incredible £1,000 for our charity through her Love Local Social Networking Events and Co-Working Clubs.
Over the past two years, Rachelle has created a welcoming community where ambitious Yorkshire business owners can connect, collaborate and grow their businesses, all while supporting children and families facing adversity across the region.
Networking with a Purpose
Rachelle’s Co-Working Clubs are designed to give business owners the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day running of their businesses and focus on developing their marketing strategies in a supportive, inspiring environment. Alongside the popular Love Local Social networking events, they’ve become much more than places to exchange business cards – they’ve become communities built on collaboration, encouragement and giving back.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, donated and supported these events, more than £1,000 has been raised to help provide free respite breaks for children and families across Yorkshire.
Why The Principle Trust?
For Rachelle, choosing to support The Principle Trust was an easy decision.
Having heard the stories of the families we’ve helped, she was inspired by the difference a simple holiday can make. As a mum herself, she understands the importance of spending quality time together, creating lasting memories and giving families the opportunity to rest, reconnect and improve their wellbeing.
She also wanted to support a local Yorkshire charity where every donation has a direct impact.
Rachelle said:
“When I launched the Love Local Socials and Co-Working Clubs, I wanted to create something that brought local business owners together while giving something back to our community. To have raised over £1,000 for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity in less than two years is something I’m incredibly proud of, and that’s entirely down to the generosity of everyone who has attended, donated and supported the events.”
With The Yorkshire Marketing Company entering an exciting new phase of growth, Rachelle has made the decision to pause the events while she focuses on her expanding portfolio of Fractional Marketing clients.
She added:
“Whether you attended a Co-Working Club, came along to a Love Local Social, donated to the charity or simply supported the events, you’ve played a part in raising over £1,000 for an incredible local cause. Together, we’ve made a genuine difference, and I couldn’t have done it without you.”
